Temporary Visitor Restrictions to Prevent Flu
To protect the health of patients, their loved ones and the medical staff, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center has implemented temporary visitor restrictions that will remain in effect through the remainder of the flu season.
- Children age 12 and under may not visit patients.
- Only healthy adult visitors and healthy family members age 13 and older are permitted to visit patients.
Wake Forest School of Medicine closely aligns its academic and research missions with clinical work to provide patients with the latest in leading-edge technology and clinical trials. The school directs the education of about 1,800 students and fellows including physicians, basic scientists and allied clinical professionals.
The School of Medicine’s strategic priorities in research are metabolism and cognition issues such as diabetes, obesity and Alzheimer’s disease, and cell development and therapy issues such as regenerative medicine and cancer.
